If you are using online registration, you will need to set up Volunteer Roles, and Fee Types.

Volunteer Roles
Only the volunteer roles that have a fee attached will show up for online registration. So even if there is no fee, you must attach a fee of $0.00.
For example, you can have a volunteer role called "Bingo", and you can attach a fee of $0.00.  You can also have a volunteer role called "I do not want to volunteer", and you can attach a fee to it $20.00.

Please follow the steps below to setup volunteer roles for online registration:
1) Login to ITLeagueManager.

2) Setup volunteer fees: To set up volunteer fees, go to "online registration" and "fee type setup".  Then click the "add new fee type" tab. You can now enter your fee type name (volunteer fee), and enter a fee amount ($0.00). Click the "Save" button.

3) Setup another volunteer fee if you want them to have the option to not volunteer. To do this, go to "online registration" and "fee type setup". Then click the "add new fee type" tab. You can now enter the fee type name (eg. no volunteer), and you also need to enter the fee amount. You can choose not to charge them for opting out, or you can choose to charge them a fee for opting out.

4) Now you are finished with the fee type setup for volunteers. Your last step is to attach those fees to volunteer roles. Go under the "Setup" menu and choose "role setup". Click "add new role". Enter the role name (eg. Bingo), and the role type (Volunteer), and then attach your fee type "volunteer fee". That will attach the $0.00 fee to the "Bingo" volunteer role. Now you can add another volunteer role for people that don't want to volunteer. Click on "add new role", add a role name (eg. I don't want to volunteer), and the role type (Volunteer), and then attach your fee type "no volunteer". This will attach your "I don't want to volunteer" role to your "no volunteer" fee.
